Installation
Terms of installation
All our products come with installation manuals. By following the instructions, all products are self-installable. Also, installation can be ordered from us.
Prices for installation are showed by each product. Transportation costs are added to hangar installation costs, depending on the location of the site and the size of the hangar.
Installation fees vary depending on the location of the site, and the ammount of required equipment provided by the client. Extra charges may also apply, if the conditions mentioned below, are not met.
NB! If there is no equipment available on site, rental costs for a basket crane (or similar) will apply.
All fees must be paid in full (cost of the hangar and installation), before delivery and installation will begin.
Delivered hangar must be kept away from rain, snow etc. If required the hangar must be covered. The hangar must be installed in under 4 weeks to prevent damages to the tent. If installation is delayed, the hangar must be removed from package to prevent possible damages that may occur due to condensation.
Hangar delivery
The hangars are sent to clients using delivery companies. It is important that some form of machinery is available to unload the hangar (tractor, forklift). Another possibility is sending the hangar by truck equiped with a crane. The price of which is somewhere around 1,2EUR/km if sent from Tartu to the destination and back.
Installation preparation
Base
to begin the installation, a flat area must be prepared. To ensure the best outcome, the ground on which the tent is erected, must be as flat as possible. The allowed fuctuation of the ground depends on the size of the hangar.
Price of the installation includes installation on a flat area. We do not perform landscaping.
Access
The installation site must be accessible by a truck. In the case of the larger hangars, access for a basket crane around and inside the hangar is required. There must be enough room on both sides of the hangar to put on the tent.
Power
In order to drill the holes in the ground and for the use of the pressure hammer, power supply is needed. Power supply access point should not be farther than 50m from the site of the installation. If no power supply is available, generator rental costs will apply.
Attaching to the ground
The cost of installation includes attaching support soles to soil or dense ground. In the ground does not allow to drill holes, then the rods are pushed as deep as possible and the rest of the rod is cut. A nut will be welded to the end of the rod.
If extra equipment or accessories are needed for attachment, then they are not part of the installation price. For any extra equipment, accessories etc. a bill will be presented after the installation.
Tent installation
The tent is pulled over the frame with ropes. In the case of larger hangars, extra hands are required to pull the tent over evenly. The number of people required to pull over the PVC must be provided by the client. The number of people required is specified according to the hangar size and should be around 2-8 people. The bigger hangars may require up to 20 people. If the client is unable to provide the extra help, a free around 100€/person may apply to provide it.
Securing hangar tent sides
The overhanging section of the tent must be covered with 20-30 cm of gravel or some similar material. It is necessary so the wind will not get inside from under the sides and potentially damage the tent. This work and material is not included in the price of the installation.
Before purchase
Before purchase negotiate with your local municipality what documentation is needed to install the hangar of your choice.
Usage
When using the hangar, the tent must be tightened after a couple of months. That will ensure the tent will be straight and no wrinkles will appear in the tent. It is especially important during the winter. The tent may strech due to weather and stress, and it may need extra tightening. If the tent is not straight and tight, there might appear collections of snow or rain, and that will put more stress on the frame and may damage it in the long term. Wind might also damage any wrinkled areas.
It is the clients responsibility to make sure there is not too heavy snow load on the roof of the hangar!
Snow may not slide off the roof by itselft.
